Piémanson, the last free beach

Piémanson is one of the last “free” beaches of Europe, and hence, lives under the threat that each year could be the last one.

In the sands of this beach of 6 km at the mouth of the Rhone, in the natural park of the Camargue, hundreds of caravans park freely each summer. Campers, most of them nudists, could spend there just a few days or several weeks and sometimes they bring their horses and build a kind of summer camps, always totally respectful of nature.

We found this place almost by chance and we loved it. These are some of the few pictures I took, but it worth a whole story, what a pity it was our last day. Hopefully next time we return this palce still remain as free as now.
